Little Alyssa

While a friend from N.C. was visiting, I had the opportunity to photograph her daughter. Alyssa is only 3 months old. Always such a happy, happy baby!

Here are some of her images from our “little” session.

Enjoy!

Heather Canada Speaks

Another educational opportunity from a very well versed and fellow Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) member Heather Canada of First Coast Weddings and Events had a program on tools to create a system for your business. The event was hosted by Michelle Williams at the Rosen Centre Hotel . As always, Heather was a terrific speaker & with a wonderful program. After her program, we had a networking event, along with a delicious lunch – which could be misconstrued for dinner! We then enjoyed a performance of Statues De La Vie (“Living Statues”) from Key Artist Group. To “top it off” was amazingly delicious, made in-front of you ice cream from Pure Magic Ice Cream. My fave was Mint Chocolate chip – always a winner in my book. Unreal. Of course, there is always the peanut butter or fudge or strawberry, the list goes on! Thanks also to Unique Linens for the wonderful linens, chair covers & chair ties. Gorgeous. And what table is not complete without pretty menu cards from Rose at The Invitation Lounge.

Enjoy the Angle!

Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk Kick Off Party

This is my 15th year (WOW! I can’t believe it) that I am involved with the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk. I am proud to be on the Memory Walk Committee (probably about my 6th year or so, by now). This year, it is held at Lake Eola on October 3. It is the annual “big event” here in Orlando, as there are hundreds throughout the country.

In an effort to help keep the walkers energized, we did our annual “Kick Off” party for the walkers. It was held at the beautifully and recently remodeled “Ember” (formally known as “Kate O’Brien’s). Ember helped out greatly with “beverage” & appetizer specials.

We raised more money towards our total goal and of course, awareness towards the disease. As we are getting close to walk day, more and more things will be happening. We all can’t wait until October 3!

Here is a little slide show of some of the images that we captured at the event. Set your speakers accordingly and enjoy! Click this LINK.

Memory Walk Committee at Ember

This is your chance to help the cause to end Alzheimer’s Disease! Perhaps you have a family member – parent, aunt, grandparent, etc. that was affected by the disease. This is your chance to help make a difference. We’re on the MOVE to end Alzheimer’s. Help out through this LINK.

e-session peak – Megan & Eduardo

Another opportunity to share. Here’s a slice of the e-session that I enjoyed with Megan and Eduardo (both are Gators!). Just hanging out and playing around. We had a very relaxed time (except the heat, of course!) talking and walking and shooting. We were just getting to know each other and get some playful images before their BIG day.

A super cute couple & a fun time.

Congratulations Megan and Eduardo.

So, here is a sneak peak at Megan and Eduardo’s engagement session.

Indian Weddings – 101

As a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) I attended a terrific educational program and networking luncheon. The program was titled “Indian Weddings 101 – Defining the Indian Wedding Experience.” With so much happening during the ceremony, we really don’t have an opportunity to fully enjoy the rituals. This was an insight to the culture, customs and foods of Hindu, Sikh and Muslim weddings. The event was coordinated and arranged by Kerline from Joie de Vie Weddings & Events and Elisa from A Flair for Affairs. The host venue was from Donna at the Wyndham Orlando Resort (and featured beautiful decor from Remmal & Smita at Occasions by Shangri-la, lighting from Ben at Kaleidoscope Production Services, out of this world food from Tabla Bar & Grill. The educational presentations were from Akshar of the Florida Hotel and Conference Center and Remmal from Occasions by Shangri-la.

Thinking that it may have some “nice colors,” I thought that I would bring along a camera so I could share some of the activities from the day. When the doors opened, the 60 or so attendees were stunned at how beautiful the room looked. There were 2 gorgeous Mandaps (the canopy for the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony) from Occasions by Shangri-la on display, with beautiful accent lighting from Kaleidoscope Production Services. Also, each table had a very unique and creative centerpiece.

We even had Gwladys, our pretty “bride” accompanied by her handsome “groom,” Tommy. The bride modeled a sari as they showed how the material is wrapped around her for her wedding .  Thanks to all of those companies and people that contributed to this very beautiful and educational event.  Well, enough talk. Here are some of the photos… only part of the story.

Enjoy the Angle!

Trash The Dress Session – Iwona

I just want to share the great time that I had photographing Iwona. We started by having her in a gorgeous layered silk skirt and black top (well, it was dry to start with!). As she got more “into it,” she was having a blast. Iwona has such great energy and attitude, it really shows in her session. A sunrise session is an early rise time – but ALWAYS worth it!

Without any further ado, here is Iwona from Allan’s Angle.

Enjoy!

e-session peak – Eunice and Britt

In town on a get-a-way, Eunice and Britt ventured here from NJ. They did the “theme park tourist” thing during their stay. Although they were here for only a few days, I had the opportunity for a fun engagement session with them. We played around a little – just a diversion while away from it all!

So, here is a sneak peak at Eunice & Britt’s engagement session.

A couple truly in love!

Congrats Eunice & Britt.

Highland Manor Open House

I just wanted to share some photos from last night’s Open House of a newly renovated venue. It is the Highland Manor (formerly the Captain and Cowboy and Townsend’s Plantation) in Apopka. They have done major renovations to their venue and last night was their Open House to the local wedding professionals. Cassie Miller and Toni Curlin from Highland Manor with Brandi Zrallack from the Perfect Wedding Guide were the team that handled last night’s special event. It is a wonderful and very scenic location. For our brides that like the “Southern appeal” and charm, this will be a sure hit. There is ample ceremony and reception space for most weddings. We look forward to working with their terrific staff at this enchanting location.

Below are several images of fellow wedding professionals enjoying the festivities. Thanks also to: Marc Burgess Productions, Chocolate Traditions, Party Flavors (cake), The Flipbook People, Party Booths (fun photobooth), Silva Entertainment, Harp Strings, Kaleidoscope Production Services (lighting), Creative Elegance and Special Touches by Deb (floral)

Best wishes Cassie & Toni on your new launch.

Brides Against Breast Cancer VIP Party

The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) hosted the 4th annual Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown sale. This is a fund raiser benefitting the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. As an ABC member, we donated photography services to help the cause. Many other people and companies were involved, helping co-chairs LaVoria Buckley & Elise Enloe. So many donations – decor (Wedding Specialities) , food (Too Jay’s), cupcakes (Glass Slipper Cakery), furniture (Room Service Furniture and Event Rental) , dj/music (Tampa Bay DJ), wine (Barefoot Wines), gift bags, honeymoon vacation, videography (Treasured Moments Video Productions) and lots of helping hands!

This is a nationwide fund-raising event where thousands of wedding gowns are available for purchase. The money raised is used to grant wishes for terminal breast cancer patients. As an ongoing “friendly competition” with our Tampa-based ABC, we hope to beat them! Of course, that was all in good fun, as the efforts are for a very serious cause.

Thanks to all of the volunteers and attendees making this a great event.

Enjoy the sneak peak from the BABC VIP Party!
